We have come a long way in terms of community developments and advances in science. But the one place we still lack is creating a safe environment for all the women around us. It is our responsibility not only as an organization for the community but as the people of this nation to make it happen. Thus we at Surendra Pathare Foundation are proud to announce the launch of Seeti Bajao…Shor Machao! A campaign in association with Pune Mirror. Through the campaign, we aim not only to ensure the safety of women but also to make Pune an even safer city for all. We start this campaign on the prominent occasion of International Day for the elimination of Violence Against Women. Women have always been told to keep quiet and bear through whatever problems they face which develops a sense of oppression in them, preventing them from speaking up. The simple act of sounding the can give one the confidence needed to tackle the situation. Throughout the campaign, we will be conducting various activities such as self-defence classes to the formation of patrol squads around Kharadi.
“For every Punekar, the loud whistle should become a signal that someone needs help.”
