It is a well-known fact that Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on the economy worldwide. The last two years have been tough for all of us, especially for smaller businesses and our very own self-help groups (Bachatgat’s). A good majority of these budding businesses run out before they can get to a higher level because of a lack of an established customer base and the absence of branding.
As the world opens up again, it’s time to celebrate and also encourage all businesses around us. With this goal in mind, our Surendra Pathare Foundation set up the “Bhairav Diwali Fest 2021”, a festival to celebrate the budding women entrepreneurs of all sections of our society. This fest consisted of over 100 plus Bachatgat’s from Kharadi making amazing products right from your home decor, Diwali decorations, handmade embroideries, jewellery, puja essentials and the well known scrumptious Maharashtrian Local Cuisine.
SPF was able to provide these new entrepreneurs and business makers with a platform to showcase their products and services to a massive crowd through the Bhairav Diwali Fest. It also helped preserve the traditional and Maharashtrian culture. SPF is currently planning further initiatives to keep on supporting these budding businesses for they very well might be the future of our economy one day!
