Basketball is one of the most energetic & vigorous game & has a lot of importance in the West due to prominent tournaments like the NBA. India has gradually started making its mark in Basketball & we have witnessed many young talented Basketball players coming out from different areas in India.
Kharadi has witnessed numerous hidden gems previously in the cricket & archery tournaments organised by Surendra Pathare Foundation. Now, to take a step further & find extraordinary talents additionally, A basketball event is organised.
We at Surendra Pathare Foundation & Dnyaneshwar Katke Social Foundation in collaboration with ‘Pune District Basketball Association’ have organized the ABC Pro Basketball League with 16 teams actively participating & competing till the 9th of April, the final matchday.
The inauguration of the tournament was graced by the presence of Surendra Baapusaheb Pathare & Dnyaneshwar Katke (ZP Member, Wagholi) at the Rajaram Bhiku Pathare Indoor Stadium.
The inauguration of the tournament was a massive success & the enthusiasm will further continue till the final matchday. We have accomplished our dream of providing a platform to over 200 young talented children aged between 14 to 16 years. Sports, be any, has a quality to create equality, passion & harmony among the players & it is delightful when you witness it happening. We desire that these participating champions will further play for a higher level & also represent our nation by exhibiting their talents.
